Helping out Bjorkdale School

My first volunteer experience at Bjorkdale school involved helping out at the senior girls volleyball tournament. This would involve working at the canteen or being a linesmen.

From this time on I was not afraid to help out with after school volleyball games for many years to come.

Specifically this year I took on a different task, and decidied to ref a junior boys basketball. This was the first time reffing a basketball game, and was definetly a new experience for me. It was scary and frightening, but also helped me to learn.

All of these experiences helped me to get out of my comfort zone, and get experience to start working with other people. It also allowed me help get a jumpstart on my volunteer hours for my school requirement.
