Community Curling & Skating Rink

Throughout my time in Bjorkdale, I have had a few oppurtunities to volunteer at the local Community curling and skating club. Most recently I have helped out at both the community curling and skating rink. These tasks included working a curling bonspiel, and helping out with a hockey game.

Both the bonspiel and the hockey game required me to work in the kitchen. These would involve cooking burgers, preparing hot chocolate and coffee, along with selling candy. There were other volunteers so I mostly just helped out with cooking burgers.

Both of these experiences allowed me to give back to the community, which was a great feeling.
